ENOREE, SC-- Catherine Woodward Simmons, age 92 of 4290 Old Hills Bridge Road, passed away Friday July 1, 2016 at her home.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Millard and Maude Rhodes Woodward and the widow of J.D. Simmons. She was a member of Cedar Shoals Baptist Church and was a retired LPN with The Presbyterian Home in Clinton, SC.
Survivors include one daughter; Catherine Marie (Cathy) Simmons of Enoree; two sons, Roy Daniel (Danny) Simmons (Sandy), Joseph David (Joe) Simmons (Judy) all of Enoree; six grandchildren, Shane Simmons (Angie), Christopher Simmons (Shay), Amanda M. Tinker, Julie Davis (Tim), Carla N. Cannon; five great-grandchildren, Caleb and Bethany Jo Davis, Noah Simmons, Dylan Simmons and Sullivan Tinker. She was predeceased by a grandchild, Joy Simmons, three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Sunday July 3, 2016 at Forest Hills Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday July 4, 2016 at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Phillip Long and Rev. Todd Johnson. The family is at the home.
