In honor of Fred, wear a Hawaiian shirt to the service. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet.
Fred was born March 16, 1961, in Buffalo, N.Y., to the late Karl and Rosalinda Krause. He grew up in a tiny home in Fillmore, N.Y., filled with love, happiness and laughter. Fred was the one that brought laughter into the house. He would leave his family "in stitches" at the dinner table every night. Fred graduated from Fillmore Central School where he played soccer and wrestled, participated in band, and was inducted into the National Honor Society. Fred graduated from SUNY Cortland with a bachelor's degree in math. He loved teaching, just like his father. Fred married Kelly Taft on March 23, 1985, in Almond, N.Y. He taught high school math in New York for six years and in Texas, with 10 years in Fort Worth ISD and 17 years in Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD. In his teaching career he was awarded the Secondary Teacher of the Year award and Peer-Professional award at Boswell High School; he was a member of the state board for the Texas Association of Future Educators. In addition to math, Fred coached soccer at Carter-Riverside High School and Boswell High School. He was very proud of the TAFE, National Honor Society and Gold Standard clubs he sponsored while teaching. Fred loved watching his Carolina Panthers on Sundays and shopping for Hawaiian shirts at Thrifttown on the right color day.
Fred was preceded in death his parents; and his siblings, Nancy Lynn Krause and Sally Krause Lock.
Survivors: He leaves behind his wife, Kelly Krause; his sons, Daniel, Kurtis (wife, Holly) and Marcus Krause; grandsons, Eric and Henry Krause; granddaughters, Emylee and Abigail Krause; siblings, Susan (Krause) and Tom Murphy, Karl and Peggy Krause, Paul and Michelle Krause, Linda (Krause) and Oliver Nagel, and Matthew and Kelly Krause; and several nieces and nephews.
