SARATOGA SPRINGS - Patricia (Smith) Ryall of Webster Street, died peacefully at her home of 66 years, on Tuesday, June 28th 2016. She was 88.
Born on April 11th 1928 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Jordan) Smith of Jumel Place.
A graduate of St. Clement’s Elementary School, Saratoga Springs High School and the Eastman School of Dental Hygiene.
She was married to the late Owen J. Ryall for 53 years, until his passing on May 21st 2002.
Employed for several years as a dental hygienist for the late Dr. Leo W. Roohan, Jr., she also worked for the Saratoga Springs City School District.
A proud mother for her four sons, Patricia was a member of the Katrina Trask Garden Club, the Saratoga-Wilton B.P.O. Elks Lodge 161 Ladies Auxiliary and Court McLaughlin #422 Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Having taken pottery classes at Skidmore College, she created many beautiful pieces of art and as an avid fan of the Saratoga Race Course, she enjoyed her days spinning there each summer.
In addition to her parents and late husband, she is predeceased by one son, Joseph Ryall; her sister, Shirley Garnsey and two brothers, Jack and Jerry Smith.
Arrangements by the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs 584-5373.
Burial will follow at 12noon at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
