Sarah, dau. of Deacon Joseph and Lydia Loring, b. abt. 1714; baptized July 17, 1715; m. Thaddeus Bowman Dec. 2, 1736. They had 7 children.

Capt. Thaddeus Bowman was repeatedly called by his townspeople to fill offices of honor and trust. He was Captain of Lexington militia, 1770 - 1775. Was first to meet the british April 19, 1775. --Phinney's History of the Battle of Lexington. Five of his sons served with distinction during the war. Samuel being staff officer of Alexander Hamilton; walked arm in arm with Andre to execution; was an original member of the "Order of Cincinnati.
