Gertrude was the daughter of Casper Dorsch and Hulda Dorsch nee Strempel.

Enlisted as a Sister in the Australian Army Nursing Service (AANS) 30.07.1915.
Served in India, Egypt, France & England.
Discharged 10.11.1919
Awarded - 1914/15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

Gertrude passed away on 17.6.1957. Her remains were buried at West Terrace Cemetery.
