Eddie Joe Reed, age 81 of Rock Spring, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 2, 2016. He was born to the late Eddie Thomas and Lula Woodall Reed in Summerville and has been a resident of Rock Spring for the past 37 yrs. Eddie was a member of Grace Baptist Church, served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard, before retiring from Burner Systems in 2005. He enjoyed planting & growing vegetables in his garden and woodworking. Eddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle who will be greatly missed.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Frances Cordel and brothers, Hershel Reed and Herbert Reed.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Shane Cloud officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-LaFayette Chapel
