Brian was born on May 12, 1972, in Mansfield, to Wendell Hardin and Sharon (Oney) Detterman. He was employed with Gorman Rupp. Brian cherished his family and friends, and was very important for him to spend time with them. His favorite vacationing spot was in upper Michigan with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, participating in sports and was a big UK basketball fan. His true passion was softball, where he excelled and continued to play throughout his life. He married the love of his life, Tiffany (Tucker) Hardin on August 1, 2009, and she survives him.
Along with his wife Tiffany, he is survived by three daughters, Leah Hardin of Lexington, and Trinity Tucker and Taylor Tucker, both of Mansfield; his father, Wendell (Barb) Hardin of Vanceburg, KY; his mother, Sharon (Dave Harvey) Detterman of Mansfield; two siblings, Robin (Andy) Utz of Ontario and Jarrod (Brooke) Hardin of Shelby; two half-sisters, Wendi Rosado and Brittany Tyre both of Florida; his paternal grandmother, Elsie Hardin of Ontario; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doug and Barb Tucker of Mansfield; his brother-in-law, Scott Tucker of Mansfield; along with a niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends considered as family also.
Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wynford and Tressie Oney, and his paternal grandfather, Phillip S. Hardin,{FAG#30509985} whom he shared a very special bond with.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Lantz Cemetery.
