Dorothy M. Johnston, 96, of Gallup, NM, formerly of Port Huron, died Friday, June 29, 2001. She was born Dec. 13, 1904, in Pendelton, Ontario, to the late Herbert and Matilda Woods Shane.

She is survived by two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Paula) Garcia of Gallup, N.M. and Mr. and Mrs. F. John (Marion) Sari of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a son, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Mary) Johnston of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Johnston of Port Huron; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grand- children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Johnston; a son, David Johnston; three brothers, Howard, Keith and Lindsey Shane; and a sister, Marion Smith.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2001, in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Paul David Johnston will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
