Mollie Rosella Smith. 94, of Ceres Road, Bluefield, died peacefully late Friday evening, July 1, 2016 at Mercer Nursing & Rehab Center in Bluefield. Born March 2, 1922 in Bland County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Alva Tabor & Fannie Neice Tabor. Mrs. Smith was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church on the New Hope Road, Princeton. Mrs. Smith loved cooking and was always willing and eager to help her family, friends and neighbors. She was a retired cook for the Mercer County Board of Education. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence A. Smith, along with six siblings; Hilda Champ, Emory Tabor, Mildred Bowling, Eva Sneed, Lucille Smith and Alva Tabor. Those left to cherish her memory, her loving and caring children, Larry A. Smith of Green Valley, Gail & Bill Estep of Princeton, Nancy & Stanley Blankenship of Green Valley, Linda & Jerry Davis of Maple Acres, Jeffery & Dianna of Green Valley, 11 Grandchildren, 18 Great grandchildren & 4 Great great grandchildren, and her only living sibling, Opal Shields of Ceres Road, Bluefield, Sister in law, Doris Tabor of Bluefield. A host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 4, 2016 from Immanuel Baptist Church on the New Hope Road Princeton with Pastor’s Dan Jividen & Josh Johnson officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 11:00 A.M until the service hour. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
