Kathleen S. Brooks, 63 of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. She was born on April 4, 1953 to Alvin and Rita (Kalas) Beczynski .
Kathleen started her career as a secretary at the University of Toledo. She then went on to become an executive assistant at the former Riverside Hospital and at Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center for the Director of Nursing. In her free time, Kathleen enjoyed bowling, boating on Lake Erie, and especially enjoyed the Round House at Put-in-Bay, traveling, gardening, and art.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of 43 years, David; daughters, Kimberly and Erika (Scott Fisher) Brooks; and her mother, Rita Beczynski. Her family would like to give a special thank you to Juliann Conley and to the nurses and aids at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, especially Colleen and Leslie.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH. A short visitation will take place from 10a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5153 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning immediately after.
