Actor. Born in London, England, he appeared mainly in British television and films. He is probably best known for roles in the films "I'm All Right Jack" (1959) with Peter Sellers, and "Dentist in the Chair" (1960). After stage experience, Stevens made his big screen debut in the 1952 film "Made in Heaven". He had other memorable performances in the films "Doctor in Love" (1960), "Carry on Cruising" (1962), "Goodbye Mr. Chips" (1969), and "The Parent Trap" (1998). He also appeared in such television series as "The Avengers", "Rumpole", "May to December", and "As Time Goes By".
