Charles Wesley Hardage Jr., 55, of Powder Springs died Friday, Aug. 11, 2006. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta, with Dr. Robin Lindsey and Edward Dillon officiating. Mr. Hardage served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was awarded two Purple Hearts. He retired from the Fulton County Police Department as a detective. He was also a former Fulton County deputy and an Atlanta Police Officer. He attended McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Hardage; three sons, Christopher R. Hardage of Atlanta, Matthew S. Hardage of Hiram and Nicholas K. Hardage of Gainesville; one daughter-in-law, Bonnie S. Hardage of Atlanta; one brother, Jerry Hardage of Smyrna; two sisters, Becky Hardage of Marietta, and Barbara Ingle of Douglasville; and one grandchild. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
