Paul John Anderson passed away unexpectedly due to a stroke on October 3rd while in Marco Island, FL. Paul was born in St. Paul, MN on April 14, 1931, to Harry and Mary Anderson. He served in the Korean War monitoring our troop transmissions overseas to make sure the US radios weren’t giving military secrets away. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club, American Legion, and many other organizations. Paul lived his adventurous life to the fullest, with his many interests in fishing, hunting, flying, storytelling, and making new friends all the time. People enjoyed hearing Paul's many stories and jokes, even if it was multiple times. He had a twinkle in his eye, and made everyone feel like they were his friend. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Jan, of 52 years, his son, Jimmy, his parents, and his sister Miriam. Paul is survived by his wife, Karen; his four children, Kathy (John) Rauth, Tom (Paula) Anderson, Dave (Mary Beth) Anderson, and Amy (Sean) Harguth. Jimmy's widow Mary is also one of Paul's loved survivors. Paul adored his fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and they will miss their special bond with him. Paul is also survived by three siblings, Jim Anderson, Ellen Counts, and Ruth Wirtz. He embraced Karen's family as well, including Joleen (Joe) Knapp, Eric (Martha) Peterson, and their four grandchildren. A celebration of Paul's life will be held as follows: 10/6 - Visitation at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, Nisswa, MN from 5 PM to 7 PM. 10/7 - 10 AM visitation, Burial Mass at 11 AM, St. Christopher's. Memorials preferred to St. Christopher's Catholic Church or the Nisswa Park and Rec program. Paul will be missed by many.
