After two weeks illness from a stroke of paralysis, Mrs. J.M. Christie died at the Giblin Hotel at 3 o'clock this morning. Mrs. Christie was about 55 years of age and was the mother of four children, of which number only a son and her husband are left to mourn her departure.

She was a devoted member of the Congregational Church, loved and respected by those who knew her best; ever ready to assist in any movement that would bring relief to the weak and weary.

The funeral was held at the Congregational Church at 3:30 this afternoon, Rev. Isaac Tracy officiating.

Died in Hayward, WI, Thursday morning, May 10, 1906, at 3:00, of paralysis, Mary, wife of JM Christie, aged about 57 years.

Mrs. Christie was stricken with paralysis just two weeks ago, and her life gradually ebbed away. She was unconscious for a number of days preceding her death.

Deceased had been a resident of Hayward and vicinity the past 25 years, was a member of the Congregational Church of this city, and was also connected with a number of fraternal orders of Hayward before moving out to the resort at Last Land Lake. She leaves a husband, sister Mrs. JV Allen of Minneapolis, and son Clyde of Alaska to mourn her death.

The funeral will be conducted this afternoon, May 10, thru the Congregational Church, and the remains will be interred in Greenwood Cemetery.

After a separation of several years, Mr. J.M. Christie and Mrs. Mary Christie are again united in marriage. The ceremony occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bennett on Monday, April 17, Rev. L.W. Winslow officiating.
