Anita Colleen Vaughan-Baker was born October 28, 1953 and passed peacefully in her home, Monday June 27, 2016, after a seven year battle with colon cancer.

Colleen was born in Crawfordsville, IN and raised in Lafayette, IN. She graduated from Jefferson High School, Lafayette Beauty Academy and went on to receive her Cosmetology license from Purdue University. Colleen loved all animals but had a special place in her heart for cats. She enjoyed reading , bicycle riding and gardening. She most enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, especially her grand children.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Stanley Norris Vaughan and Annie Mae Jernigan-Vaughan, of Lafayette, IN.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce Younts and her husband Dave, of West Lafayette, IN. Her son, David Neal and his wife Angela, of Franklin, IN. Her daughter, Katie Baker, of Chicago, IL. Four grandchildren, one great grandchild and two nephews. Companion, Joe Gordier and his daughter Shelly of Grand Haven, MI.

Her wishes were to be bequeathed to cancer research. In lieu of services, donations can be made to IU Simon Cancer Center.
