Mrs. Rebecca S. Hughes 68, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Hospice Savannah, Inc.
The Beaufort South Carolina native lived most of her life in Savannah Georgia. She was a member of Clifton Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Choir and Woman on a Mission Ministry. She retired from A. E. Beach High School as an Educator.
Survivors: two sons, Percival Waiters and Roman Hughes, Sr., (Angela Grant), Goddaughter, Nylah Santos, sister-in-law, Patricia Speight, brother, Willie Staten, two grandchildren, Roman Hughes, Jr. and Tykeeby Hughes, great grandchild, Roman Hughes, III., a dear friend, Pastor Lester Mitchell. and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Clifton Missionary Baptist Church, 100 Big Hills Rd., Savannah, GA. Rev. Terrance Pinckney, Pastor. Rev. Mitchell Lester, Sr., Officiating.
Interment ~ 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
