Manuel Z. Moreno, age 64, of 901 Green St., Manitowoc, entered into
eternal life on Monday, March 5, 2007, at the Aurora Medical Center
in Two Rivers, surrounded by his wife and children.
Manuel was born June 8, 1942, in Bay City, Mich., to the late Pedro
and Fernanda Zapata Moreno, and has been a resident of the area for
the past 40 years. He married the former Marcelina "Mercy" Abrego
on May 18, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Moreno was employed by
the Mirro Manufacturing Co. for many years as a truck driver, and
retired in 2003. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially
his grandchildren, attending their many events. He also enjoyed going
to parades, and watching the Green Bay Packers.

In addition to his parents, Manuel was also preceded in death by a
brother: Richard; two sisters: Hilda and Josephina; and by three
infant grandchildren, including Brianna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 9,
2007, at St. James Catholic Church in Cooperstown, with the Rev. Ron
Colombo officiating, with burial to follow in the Holy Cross Catholic
Church Cemetery, Mishicot.
Relatives and friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday (TONIGHT),
at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State St., in Mishicot.
There will be a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service Thursday evening at the
funeral home, led by Deacon Cal Naidl. Visitation will continue after
10 a.m. on Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Cooperstown, until
the time of service at 11 a.m.
