Caroline Messman(sic), 70, of Route 1, Mishicot, died Thursday, January 14, at
Manitowoc County Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lambert Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. The Rev. Earl Brouchoud will officiate
and burial will be in Mishicot Public Cemetery.
Mrs. Messman, nee Caroline Ploeckelmann, was born Dec. 4, 1911, in the Town of
Gibson, daughter of the late Fred and Bertha Belter Ploeckelmann. She retired
from Kohl Food Store, Milwaukee. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church,
Mishicot.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Messman of Two Rivers and Ronald Messman of
Route 1, Mishicot; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Brouchoud of Manitowoc and Mrs.
Paul (Sharon) Hagenow of Route 1, Mishicot; two brothers, Clifford Ploeckelmann
of Clover and Frank Ploeckelmann of Fredonia; a sister, Mrs. William (Helen)
Dose of Manitowoc, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Three brothers,
a sister and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Sunday. A memorial service
will be at 7:30 p.m. led by Father Brouchoud.
