James Christopher “Chris” Grider, 40 of Durant, OK passed away on June 29, 2016. He was born on January 5, 1976 In Durant, OK to Mike and Melissa (Tate) Grider.
Chris lived here all of his life. He loved sports and spending time with family, friends, and his beloved cat Emily. He was also a welder.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Chris is survived by his son Eric Grider of Durant, OK, sister Angela Weger and husband Chance of Colbert, OK, brother Cody Taylor of Durant, OK, step dad Donnie Taylor of Durant, OK, niece Kyndra Stubblefield of Colbert, OK, and nephew Tyler Stubblefield of Colbert, OK.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 8th, 2016 at 10:00AM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Monty Wood will be officiating.

Chris also had a loving feline companion named Emily, who died a month after he did, at age 13.
