Funeral services for Cecil Moore Bailey, age 75, of Woodland will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Terrell, Andrew Bailey, and Matthew Jennings officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow at Prospect Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, July 2, 2016.
Mr. Bailey passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, at his residence.
Survivors include: one daughter, Anita Jennings (husband, Randy) of Woodland; one son, Andy Bailey (wife, Christi) of Woodland; four grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Macy and Matthew; one brother, Clifford Bailey of Woodland; and special friend, Brenda Neal of Woodland.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Bailey was born on September 5, 1940, the son of H.W. and Eula Mae Moore Bailey. He was a member of Prospect Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Roanoke Masonic Lodge #132 F&AM, and was retired from Milliken-Live Oak as an engineer. He was a hardworking farmer and loved operating a bulldozer. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sara Jo Bailey, one sister, Gwen Wilson; and one brother, Roger Bailey.
