Sheila was born in 1933 to Florence and Leo Murray in Lumberton, Canada. She was third of nine children. Her father was a saw filer; her mother a homemaker. She grew up mainly in the Leavenworth-Peshastin, Wash., area, although later the family moved and lived in several cities on the West Coast. After Sheila graduated from Leavenworth High School. she attended Deaconess Nursing School and graduated cum laude in 1954. She met her first husband Kenneth Anderson at Leavenworth High. They married and moved to Klamath Falls in 1955. They raised four children (two girls and two boys). Sheila worked as a nurse at Klamath Valley Hospital and then the Klamath Medical Clinic. She retired from the clinic in 1995.
After being widowed for a number of years, she met and married James Scott, a teacher and principal, in 1992. Jim preceded her in death after 14 years of marriage. She loved nursing, line, square and round dancing, music, attending local plays, shopping, and reading. Mom's greatest joy was providing, listening, and caring for others; she was always on the go (affectionately known as the "Silver Streak"). Mom's enormous heart was a great gift to her family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances.
Sheila is survived by her children Susan, Michael, Margaret, and Steven; siblings Keith and Connie; grandchildren Erica and Vanessa; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
