The Cambridge City (IN) Tribune, Thursday, January 29, 1920
"Vine Larue Conrey, son of Jarrette and Lydia Conrey, was born in Andersonville, Ind., January 1, 1855, and departed this life January 21, 1920, aged 65 years and 20 days. On November 11, 1880, he was united in marriage with Lucy Pritchard and to this union was born one son, Wayne Conrey, who died in infancy. He is survived by the wife, two sister, Mrs. Walter Davis of Tipton ad Mrs. Justina Loder of Dublin; one brother Sol Conrey of Chicago, and a number of near relatives. For many years Mr. Conrey had been a church member and was ever a faithful attendant. Mr. Conrey was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed in the home, he ever thinking of the comforts there. The funeral service was held at the Baptist church Friday morning. Burial in Riverside."
