Scion of ancient Hartford families and named for her mother and grandmother, Miss Tisdall (or Tisdale) was the third and youngest daughter of Thomas Tisdale and and only child of his second wife, Delia Bull Tisdale. She was educated at the Litchfield (CT) Female Academy. She married Ezekiel C. McIntosh on November 5, 1826, and died just over four years later. Her widower later became President of the Mohawk and Hudson Railroad and acquired in 1844 the Schuyler Mansion in Albany. His second wife, Caroline Carmichael, later married former President Millard Fillmore in 1858.
