She went by the name "Annie". Annie parents were born and raised in Scotland. They immigrated to the United States in 1854 and settled in Butlerville, Salt Lake County, Utah. Annie was born there, the youngest of twelve children.
After Joseph Staker's first wife died, he returned to Butlerville for a wife and married Annie on June 11, 1908 in Salt Lake, Utah. They joined their families together, Joseph's five children and Annie's son, James. Then they became the parents of two additional children. They returned to Teton in 1910 and raised their family. Joseph died in 1939 leaving Annie a widow for the remaining years of her life.
