Theo Wade, Sr. was born October 11, 1917 to the late Mr. John and Mrs. Nannie Wade. He was called to eternal rest on July 26, 2009. He excepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and joined St. James P.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Pearl Dancy. He was preceded in death by four children, Billy, Betty, Mazell, and Theodore Wade, Jr. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a devoted and loving wife, Ruth E. Wade; eleven children, Nannie Lee (Jessie) Lacy, Henry Lee (Sophia) Wade, Melvin Wade, Arthur Wade, Mary Dean (John) Martin, Thomas Wayne (Shirley) Wade, Gerald (Betty) Wade, James Milton Wade, and Lydia Wade all of Huntsville, AL, Robert Lee Wade of Frankfurt, Germany, and Roosevelt Wade of Columbia, TN; two sisters, Johnny Pearl Wade and Iretta Pettus both of Huntsville, AL; two aunts, Mrs. Nelly Stover and Mrs. Ada Mae Fletcher; thirty-seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2009, at the St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America (2050 Jeff Road; Harvest, AL 35773) with Pastor William Robinson officiating. Interment will be held in St. James Cemetery. Mr. Wade will lie in repose one thirty minutes prior to funeral time. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at the Royal Chapel of Memories.
