Joe E. Hawkins, 81, of Greenville, husband of Malynda Ashmore Hawkins, died June 28, 2016.

Born in Greenville he was a son of the late R.T. and Annie Bell Walker Hawkins.

Joe was the owner of H & H Electrical Service and a member of White Horse Heights Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his loving wife of 36 years, are three daughters, Kim Forrester (Ted), Terri Hawkins, and Michelle Smith (Jonathan); a son, Josh Hawkins; special family member, Lacey Clevenger; six grandchildren, Jessica Woods, Brent and Joey Friddle, Sarah Mills, and Jake and Bree Forrester; and 10 great grandchildren, Braden and Cooper Smith, Bree Woods, Elyjah Friddle, T.J. and Dawson Hawkins, Connor Mills, Karlie Clevenger, and Olivia and Savannah James Friddle.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Hollingsworth Hawkins; a daughter, Sherri Hawkins; a sister, Betty Hawkins; and a brother, Ikey Hawkins.

The visitation will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at White Horse Heights Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at White Horse Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
