Michael Edward Greiner was born on Tuesday; March 20, 1990, in Ames; Story County, Iowa. He was the son of Arden and Ronna (Hartwig) Greiner. He graduated from the Clemons Lutheran School and attended the Colo-NESCO High School. He was a member of the Colo-NESCO FFA, Saint John's Lutheran Church (being baptized on Sunday; April 22, 1990) and the Young Saints of the Church. Michael will be fondly remembered for his love of family, caring for pets, going fishing, four-wheeling, and his ability to fix anything. He enjoyed farming, working on his tractors and pickup and was always busy doing what needed to be done. Michael Edward Greiner, 14, of rural Zearing and Colo area. Both towns are in Story County, Iowa, passed away Thursday afternoon; February 3, 2005 at the Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are his parents Arden and Ronna, borther David and sister Kristine, grandmother Lavonne, Nyle and Joann Hartwig, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In death he has rejoined his granfather Edward Greiner. May he rest in peace. Friends may call at the church on Sunday; February 6, 2005 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday; February 7, 2005 at the Saint John's Lutheran Church north of State Center with Pastor David Steege officiating. Burial will be in the Saint John's Cemetery.
