Floyd Phillips, Jr.
Floyd "Cocomo" Columbus Phillips Jr. passed away June 26, 2016 at the age of 75. He was born October 21, 1940 in Madill, Oklahoma to Floyd Sr. and Lillian Phillips.
After graduating from high school, he served in the US Navy as a Sonarman. He was a supervisor for Monaco motorhome manufacturing, he was a GMC salesman and a mill supervisor.
He married Paula Sue Alsup on September 10, 1965 in Drain, OR. He enjoyed bowling, baseball, softball, fishing, gardening, watching Oregon Ducks Sports, Mariners baseball but he especially loved watching his grandchildren play sports.
He is survived by his wife Paula Phillips, sons, Robert Dean Phillips of Salem, OR; Michael Scott Phillips Sr. of Eugene, OR; daughters, Malinda Sue Alberts (Darwin) of Eugene, OR and Deborah Corinne Meelhuysen (Ed) of Lincoln, NE. Sister, Ioma Lois Williams of Walla Walla, WA and brothers, Jack Lee Phillips and Thomas Elton Phillips both of Springfield, OR, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held on Thursday June 30, 2016 at 11:00 at Neighborhood Assembly of God in Eugene, OR. Burial will follow at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene, OR.
