Frank H. Bloomquist, 80, 355 2nd Ave. N., lifelong Webster County, resident and retired farmer, died at Trinity West Hospital late Saturday night. He had entered there as a medical patient earlier that evening, after suddenly becominf ill at his home.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bruce Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. John L. Riebhoff, pastor of Trinity United Methodist, Church, officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.
Surviving are his widow, Martha; children, Mrs. Max Woods, Fort Dodge; Frank E. Bloomquist, Riverside, Calif.; Robert V., Fort Dodge; James D., Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Robert Hampton, Columbia, Mo.; Mrs. William Trimpl, Phoenix; Keith W., Branson, Mo.; Mrs. Ervin Tague, Biloxi, Miss.; 18 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; sister Mrs. Caryl Harris, and brother Otto, both of Fort Dodge.
Mr. Bloomquist was born on a farm near Callender, and attended the rural schools of the area. In 1917, he married Miss Martha J. Chinberg at Callender. The couple farmed for many years near Lundgren, until retiring 19 years ago and moving into Fort Dodge.
For the past nine years, Mr Bloomquist had been custodian of Trinity United Methodist Church, of which he had been a longtime member."
