Rev. Lewis McDonald, Sr., 98, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Services will be Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Pilgrim Rest M. B. Church-Educational Complex located at 852-A Madison Avenue in Madison, MS. His body will lie in state from 1-2 pm. Services will begin at 2 pm.
He is survived by four daughters, Lina (Curtis, Sr.) Cotten, Evia M. Butler, Lena Marshall, and Geneva Carter; eight sons, George (Carol) McDonald, Charles (Daphne) McDonald, Ronnie (Charlene) McDonald, Johnnie Lee (Rosie) McDonald, Sr., Jessie (Bettye) McDonald, William (Elaine) McDonald, Robert (Rose) McDonald, and Hubert McDonald; two sisters-in-law, Helen L. Williams and Vangie M. Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
