Charlie Fowler Allen, 82, of Huntsville, Texas passed away on June 28, 2016. He was born on February 24, 1934 in the West Sandy Community of Walker County, Texas to Andrew Allen and Theresa Klodgenski Allen.

After graduating from Huntsville High School in 1953, Fowler went on to serve our country in the U S Army in Korea before going to work for the United States Postal Service. He retired with a combined total of 35 years of service.

Fowler enjoyed watching his Houston Astros baseball team and former Houston Oilers football team, fishing and visiting historical museums.

Fowler was a member of Huntsville Church of Christ in Huntsville, Texas.

LaJuana will cherish the unconditional love Fowler so selfishly gave her over the years. They made many fond memories traveling to Marshall, Texas and taking day trips to places like the Antique Rose Emporium and Stubblefield Lake.

Fowler is survived by his beloved wife LaJuana Allen; daughter Susan Blalock and husband Stephen; granddaughter Michelle Batson; grandson Daniel Ferguson; great-grandchildren Tyler, Ayva, Asher and Donavon; sister Betty Ann Thompson; nephews Greg, Gary, Todd, and Terry; and numerous other family members. He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Theresa Allen; and many other loved relatives.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. A funeral service will be at 10:00 on Friday, July 1, 2016 in the chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Farris Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
