M. M. Lowery, 86 Dies in Carolina; Buried in Perry
Matthews McCuller Lowery, 86, former Perry resident who was owner of the Nehi Bottling Co. at Hickory, N. C., died at his home there Sunday.
Funeral services were held in Hickory early Tuesday and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
His wife, who survives, was the former Miss Corinne Baldwin of Marshallville. The Lowreys owned a farm here for several years.
Mr. Lowery was born in Dawson. He had lived in Hickory for 35 years and had been prominent in religious and civic affairs. He was a member of the Methodist Church
Nieces and nephews surviving include Mrs. Graham Plant, Macon; Mrs. Lee Hudson and Mrs. Claudia Lemon, Americus; Dr. Lowery Davenport, Boston, Mass.
