Born Sept. 9, 1926, in Sycamore, he was the son of Arthur Jennings and Alletha Montgomery. He married Marilyn Adee on Nov. 13, 1948, in Sycamore. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed by Duplex Products for 30 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Carrie (Steven) Davenport of Sycamore and Mary Lou (Gene) Brasfield of Jonesboro, Ark.; a son, Jay (Lynn) Montgomery of Sycamore; seven grandchildren, Dawn Rodriguez, Dustin Davenport, Robert Brasfield, Adam Brasfield, Grant Montgomery, Jordan Montgomery and Andrew Montgomery; a sister, Velma Larson of Bullhead City, Ariz.; a brother-in-law, Robert Chandler of Sycamore; a brother, Gary (Rogene) Montgomery of DeKalb; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; his wife, Marilyn, on Aug. 1, 2002; a brother, Clarence Montgomery; and a sister, Helen Chandler.
There will be no services. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in care of Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL 60178.
