Emil was educated at Blinn Memorial College in Brenham and at the Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, where he received a B. S. Education in 1926. He taught school for a number of years and while superintendent of schools at Santa Rosa answered the call to ministry.
Rev. Kluck was licensed to preach by Combes Methodist Church in 1929. He entered the School of Theology at Southern Methodist University and was graduated with his B.D. degree in 1932. He was admitted into the Southwest Texas Conference in 1931. While at SMU he served the Grandview Circuit in the Central Texas Conference. His appointments in the Southwest Texas Conference were: Nursery Ct., Palacios, New Braunfels, Eola, Markham, Bandera, Boerne, Edison Street in Fredericksburg, and Three Rivers.
He was married to Willie Casselberry of San Marcos on July 1, 1925.
In 1950 Rev. and Mrs. Kluck had built a home in San Marcos for their retirement. After a Sunday service of dedication for the new organ in the Three Rivers, Rev. Kluck drove to San Marcos on Monday to work around the place. He suffered a sudden heart attack and died on June 23, 1952.
Funeral services were held in San Marcos with interment also in San Marcos.
