Clarice Marie Anderson, age 81, passed away after a short, but painful battle with cancer on June 27, 2016. Funeral services for Clarice will be held at 11AM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Shiloh Lutheran Church, Elmore, MN with visitation beginning at 9:30AM. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Elmore, immediately following the service.

Clarice was born on July 14, 1934 in Winnebago, MN to Lawrence and Minnie (Anthony) Espeland. Clarice was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Winnebago, MN. She graduated from Winnebago High School and then attended Mankato Commercial College. On April 23, 1955, Clarice was united in marriage to Myrl Anderson at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. They settled in Elmore, MN until September 2000, when they moved to their current residence in Blue Earth, MN. Clarice spent her years employed as a nursing assistant and laundry care at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center. She worked with and made many lifelong friends over her 32 plus years she worked there. In her retirement years, Clarice spent her time caring for her husband, sewing with the church ladies, having coffee with friends and enjoying time with her family. Clarice will always be known for her kringla and at family holiday meals tossing of the homemade buns.

Clarice is survived by her one son, Steven Anderson of Blue Earth; two daughters, Sherry Johnson of Fairmont, Robin (David) Mathews, Blue Earth; four grandchildren, Vanessa (Wesley), Chandler, Christopher (Robyn), Elizabeth; one great grandson, Blake; sister, Mary Mohn; brother, Bernard Espeland, sister-in-law, Harriet Anderson and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Myrl Anderson; brother, Willard Espeland; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
