Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church, Clare, with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Clare. A visitation will be Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Linda (Tom) Hock of Manson; Larry (Deb) Lynch of Fort Dodge; Janet (Jon) Pierce of Clare; James Lynch of Clare; Marcia (Sid) Pencook of Sarasota, FL; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Joeleen) Passow of Humboldt; and Marilyn (James) Lynch of Redfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Margaret (Buscher) Passow; husband, Howard in 2001; grandson, Alan Lynch; brothers, Don and Dale.
Phyllis Mary Passow was born February 6, 1928 on the family farm in the Pioneer area. She attended school in Clare, graduating from St. Matthew's High School in 1945.
Phyllis was united in marriage to Howard J. Lynch on May 26, 1951 at St. Matthew's Church, Clare. The couple established their home in Clare.
Phyllis was a Nursing Aid at the Lutheran Hospital and was later employed at J.C. Penny's in downtown Fort Dodge. She also worked for Carl Donahue Grocery in Clare.
"Grandma Lunch" treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed all the family get-togethers and having lunch with her friends.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
