Herman Phillips, 82, of Oneonta, AL passed away on June 27, 2016. Mr. Phillips worked as the Park and Recreation Director for the City of Oneonta before retiring. He is preceded in death by wife, Annie Mae Phillips; parents, John and Ellie Phillips; brothers, Marvin, J.T., Dee and Junior Phillips; sisters, Ella Mae Phillips Miller, Corra Phillips and Leanor Phillips. Survivors include step-daughter, Brenda Hogland of Millerville, AL; grandsons, Boyd Scott Epperson (Michelle) and Larry M. Nash; great grandchildren, Michael Nash (Alicia), LeAnna Epperson, Jami Nash, Nathaniel Epperson and Nicholas Epperson; great great grandchildren, Owen Nash, Brody Nash, Lyla Nash, Rylee Epperson, Trenton Epperson and Madelynn Nash.
Rev. Boyd Scott Epperson will officiate graveside services on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 2:30PM from the Oak Hill Mausoleum. Mr. Phillips will lie in state at Lemley Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1PM until service time.
