Born in Honesdale, Pa he was the youngest son of Ernest and Elizabeth Utegg Watson, he was a graduate of Hawley High School Class of 1958. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Sembach, Germany from 1958 to 1962.
Prior to retirement he was the co-founder of Watson Brothers, Inc.
What Marvin loved most was spending time with all of his family.
He was a devoted local businessman who also enjoyed traveling.
The family would like to thank Ellen Memorial Health Care Center and most recently the entire staff of Wayne Memorial Hospital, especially the ICU and hospice.
A special thank you to Annie Swartz, his personal caregiver.
Also surviving are a daughter Michelle McConnell and her husband Danny of Beach Lake; sons Scott and his wife Fluff; Mark and his wife Sharon all of White Mills; grandchildren Lindsey, Scotty, Alyssa, Mia and Dane Watson and Elisabeth and Cole McConnell; sisters Ruth Shaffer of Massena, NY and Ann Sanderson of Hawley; a brother James Watson of White Mills; a sister-in-law Elke Schwarz of Otterberg, Germany; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a brother Joseph Watson and sister-in-law Jean Watson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00am in St. Mary Magdalen Church 416 Church St. Honesdale, PA 18431 by Rev. William J.P. Langan, Pastor.
Anyone attending the Mass is asked to go directly to the Church.
Friends may call Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, PA 18436.
Interment, Indian Orchard, Honesdale.
