Mrs. Mercer, 82, of Linden, died Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Perry Community Hospital. A funeral service was held Saturday, June 18, 2016, 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Young Funeral Home, with Hoyt Kirk officiating. Burial was at Mercer Cemetery. She was born in Linden, the daughter of the late Mike Trull and Lillie Gladden Trull. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Mercer; sisters, Ruby Mathis and Maude Wood; and stepfather, Herbert Stevens, Sr. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret (Roy) Garner and Sara (Stevie) Hickerson; three sons, Glyn (Anne) Mercer, Thomas (Sally) Mercer, and Joel Mercer; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; a brother, Herbert (Earlene) Stevens, Jr.; and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
