GREENFIELD - Nathan A. Currier, 18, of 101 Wildwood Ave., died of cancer Tuesday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born and educated here, he was a senior in the landscaping program at franklin County Technical School in Turners Falls. He leaves his mother, Mary E. (Hohengasser) Akey of Greenfield; his father and stepmother, Paul D. and Judy Currier of Bangor, Maine; two brothers, Christopher and Matthew, both of Bangor; his grandmother, Elizabeth (Tarapata) Hohengasser of Greenfield; his grandfather and step-grandmother, Herbert and Yolande (Poliquin) Hohengasser of Greenfield. The funeral will be Friday morning at Kostanski Funeral Home and in St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Turners falls, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are this evening. Memorial contributions may be made to Griffin’s friends, care of Children’s Hospital at Baystate Medical Center, 759 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01199.
