"Died of Fever" after enlisting in the 27th Missouri Mounted Infantry

I live near the Englewood Cemetery in Henry Co., MO and respond to photo requests in the cemetery. A contributor has requested a marker photo for this AAron Albert and I am unable to find Aaron in the records for Englewood or the older Oak Grove Cemetery in Clinton, MO. I'm also not able to find any Albert's in many cemeteries surrounding Leesville and/or the Springfield Twp in Henry County.

It seems the Enoch & Catherine Albert family (shown in your census record noted in Aaron's bio) moved on to the Cooper and Morgan Counties sometime after 1860 and several are buried there. It would seem Aaron Albert, dying in 1862, would probably have been buried in Henry County unless he was moved by the family later.

Understanding it has been a year since you created this memorial, I wonder what record (or source) you used to show Aaron being buried in Englewood? The Englewood Cemetery record books have been translated to a digital site found in englewoodcemetery.com and a search for the surname "Albert" does not reveal any names. If your source knew of the burial location, I would check with the cemetery office and do a double check. Thanks for any response to this matter.

The final resting place looks like it is in question?????? So I will remove it from this cemetery until we can find out for sure.
But like SO MANY of the Soldiers who joined, fought and caught that HORRIBLE disease that killed so many of our Ancestors, he must be another one that was buried by the Union Army having the "fever" out in the Prairie of Missouri. And I have been there, vast and wide and green and beautiful.
