James D. Lockwood of Lake George, a native of Westerlo, died in Albany hospital Dec. 11. Funeral service, with Rev. Robert A. Fitzgerald of the Westerlo Baptist church, and Rev. Donald Boyce of the Westerlo Reformed church officiating, will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville. Masonic service by Berne Lodge No. 684, F&AM, will be conducted at the funeral home tonight at 8 o'clock. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight between 7 and 9 p. m. Interment will be in the Westerlo Central cemetery. Mr. Lockwood was born in Westerlo 10 Dec. 1, 1904 son of Adelbert and Etta Requa Lockwood, residents of Westerlo. He was a member of the Westerlo Baptist church, Berne Lodge No. 684, Town of Westerlo Volunteer Fire company.
Surviving besides his parents are his wife, the former Evelyn E. Weintein; two children, George J., instructor at the University of Minnesota, and Sandra Lee, student at Syracuse University; one sister, Mrs. Howard Davis, North Chatham; two brothers, Daniel of Westerlo, and Lawrence of Albany, and several nieces and nephews.
