Son of Gordon John B. McCoy and Ruby Audrey Stephens. Adopted as an infant by Roy Eugene Wallace Sr. (1890-1942) and Mildred Lee Wallace nee Montgomery (1895-1971). At he time of adoption his name was John Roy McCoy, later changed to Roy Eugene Wallace Jr., the only child of Roy and Mildred Wallace.

Roy Eugene Wallace was born on November 26, 1925 in Rattan, Oklahoma to Roy and Mildred Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Roy married Ruby Hartman on June 2, 1944 in Hugo, Oklahoma and was called to serve in the United States Navy on August 21, 1944. He received a Point System Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal along with the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal for his service during World War II. Roy was a Printer Second Class during his tenure in the Navy, he then returned to Hugo where he apprenticed at E.M. Dewoone & Co in Hugo as a printer. He later opened his own printing business, Wallace Printing and operated it with Ruby by his side.
Roy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hugo as well as the Masonic Lodge in Hugo. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, water skiing, riding horses, flying and photography. Roy will be fondly remembered by many in the Hugo Community and will be missed by many.
Roy is survived by his wife, Ruby; nieces, Nancy Cox and husband Craig of Austin, TX and Sharon Kress and husband Jeff of Austin, TX; great nieces, Samantha, Ally, Jane, Shelby, Cassie; great nephews, Jeffrey, Dominic and Cameron along with a host of other friends and loved ones.
