HOLDEN, Ruth E. (Ennis) Of Belmont, died August 2nd, in her home after a brief illness. She was 87. Beloved wife of 67 years to Robert L. Holden. Loving mother of Kathleen Trainor of Titusville, PA and Patricia Tucker and her husband, David of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Robert Huff of Meadville, PA. She was an active member of the Belmont Senior Center's knitting group and enjoyed knitting sweaters for family members and contributing knitted baby clothes to friends and the senior center. She was also active in the Saint Luke's Parish Prayer Shall knitting group. She was in Nurse's Training at Yale University before her marriage, she had been employed for many years at the Belmont Saving Bank as a teller and later handled insurance claims at a Medical Office. For over twenty years she and her husband spent six weeks of the winter at the same Inn in Ft. Meyers Beach, Florida, meeting some wonderful people there from various parts of the Country. They returned every year at the same time so they could be reunited with their friends. She and her husband also enjoyed regular visits to The Inn at Poland Springs in Maine and the Irish Village on the Cape. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Brasco and Sons Memorial, 325 Trapelo Road in Belmont. A Private Funeral Service in celebration of Ruth's Life will be held and interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
