Percy Bootsma passed away June 19, 1960 at the Sheldon Memorial hospital after a lingering illness, at the age of 35 years, 6 months, and 5 days.

He was born December 14, 1924 near Sanborn, Iowa, and spent all his life in this vicinity. He was married January 25, 1949,to Helen Riemersma. They lived on a farm southwest of Sanborn until his death.

He is survived by his wife [Helen] and four children, Corwin 10, Marilyn 8, Arlis 5, and Galen 3, also his parents, Mr and Mrs Charles Boots­ma, 5 brothers, Harry, Sibley; Peter, Melvin; Ralph, Sheldon; Ted, San­born; Garrold, Ocheyedan, 2 sisters, Mrs Bill Wagenaar [Priscilia] Sheldon, and Mrs Theron Tien [Thelma] Oskaloosa. One brother, Calvin James preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Wed­nesday, June 22, at 1:00 at the Sanborn Funeral Chapel and 1:30 at the Christian Reformed Church, with Rev C Vender Ark officiating.

Burial was at Roseland Cemetery.
