John Deaton

John Deaton, Jr., 71 of Calvin passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Jenson on February 11, 1941 and was a son of the late John, Sr. and Euphemia Cox Deaton.
John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War and had worked for General Electric and General Motors.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Eulene Johnson, special cousin, JB Wright and a nephew, Freeman Johnson, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patsy Flood Deaton of Calvin; children, Cinda Deaton, Johnna Gray and husband Phillip, and William J. Deaton and wife Deanna; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Josh) Deaton, Heather (Phillip) Wilder, Allison (Matthew) Deaton, Laken Deaton, Lorelei Deaton, James Gray, John Michael Deaton, Sierra Deaton and Cheyenne Deaton; brother, Charles D. Deaton; sister, Ada L. Smith; special friends and family, Forester Brock and Christina "Myrtle" Deaton, special cousin, Joe Cox; sisters-in-law, Dulcia Fergus, Beverly (Alberto) Escobedo and Dixie (Adrian) Vert; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
