Harriett Massie Hatter was the daughter of Jesse C Campbell and Polly Spears. She married Andrew J Hatter.

On the 1850 Nelson Co., VA census, I found farmer Jefse C Campbell, 52; Polly Campbell, 50; Caroline Campbell, 29; Harriet Campbell, 23; Alexander Campbell, 13; Amelia Campbell, 21; Polly Campbell, 17; Sophia Campbell, 15 and Rebecca Campbell, 11, all Virginia born.

On the 1860 Nelson Co., VA census, I found carpenter Andrew J Hatter, 32; Harriet M Hatter, 33; Alonzo J Hatter, 5 and George W Hatter, 2, all born in Virginia.
