ANITA NEWTON

 

Mrs Harvey A. Newton, 68, of 218 Orchard Rd., Kohler, died Tuesday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

 

The former Anita Mueller, she was born Feb. 20, 1910, in Kohler, a daughter of Herman ad Elsie Berlin Mueller.

 

She attended public school in Kohler and the Sheboygan Business College.

 

She then worked as an office employee at the Kohler Co.

 

On Oct. 28, 1932, she married Harvey A. Newton of Kohler at Bethany Lutheran Church I Kohler.

 

Mr. Newton is a retired Kohler Co. employee.

 

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran, serving as its first organist, and the Ladies Auxiliary, and formerly was a Sunday school teacher.

 

Mrs. Newton was a former member of the Kohler Women's Club and the Kohler Bowling League.

 

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Janet) Birnschein and Mrs. Frank (Lucile) Brott, both of Milwaukee; one son, Glen A. of Watertown, six grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Alex Rudolph of Kohler and Mrs. Roland Metzner of Sheboygan.

 

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethany Lutheran, Kohler. The Rev. Hebert A. baker, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kohler Cemetery.

 

Friends may call at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels after 5 p.m. Thursday and on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

 

A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Newton's name.
