Mr. Jimmy David Slaughter , 67, passed away on December 10, 2015 at Doctor's Memorial Hospital in Perry. Jimmy was born November 17, 1948 in Lumberton, North Carolina to Mr. Wilson Tilton Slaughter and Mrs. Pauline Ellen Beard Slaughter. Jimmy honorably served our country in the United States Army where he was based in Germany and Ft. Bragg, N.C. He worked as a mechanic for 42 years in the finishing department for Buckeye before retiring on January 2, 2015. Jimmy was a devoted and caring family man and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, fishing, and building and racing drag racing cars. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Slaughter is survived by; his son, James "Jim" Slaughter, and wife Summer, of Perry; his daughter, Tiffany Slaughter, of Perry; 1 brother, Billy W. Slaughter, and wife Cynthia, of Perry; his life partner, Lisa Cruce, of Perry, the mother of his children, Carol Slaughter, of Perry, 6 grandchildren, as a well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
