Hermitage - Xeno Grady Whitmore passed away on August 17 2021, at his home in Hermitage, TN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dave and Zadie England; parents, Grady and Ruth Whitmore; sisters, Yvonne Whitmore, Leola Garland; brother, Edward Whitmore. Xeno served 3 years in the Army, 4 years in the Air Force. He served some time in Germany, the rest of his tour was here in the states

He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Opal Rutherford Whitmore; son, Frank Whitmore and finance, Angela Brown; adopted son, Scott Thompson of Daytona Beach, FL; grandchildren, Sabrina Thompson of Clinton, TN and Alexander Thompson of Knoxville, TN; brother and sister-in-law, David and Joanna Whitmore of Maryville, TN; brother, Glen Whitmore of Mascot, TN. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend and neighbor, Doug Tooley; and his guard watchdog KD and grandpuppies.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 PM, Friday, August 20th at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 AM, Saturday, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service with Michael McNeal officiating.
